Description

Bastille 1789 is produced from barley and wheat grown in northeast France. The water used during production is naturally filtered through limestone ensuring incredible purity. Bastille 1789's distillation process combines traditional and cutting-edge techniques to express the natural characteristics of the terroir, water and malt. Bastille 1789 is distilled in Charentais-style alembic stills, which are typically used to make cognac. They are shaped differently from classic pot stills used to make scotch or bourbon. 


Bright orange amber in colour, with intriguing aromas of orange marmalade, dried apricot, spice cake, pineapple blossom and suede. Vibrant, dry-yet-fruity, medium-full body and a long, orange bread crust, peach cobbler, peppery spice and limestone accented finish.
